Water balance scheme development for urban modelling

چکیده
Urban flooding is a big problem for developing countries like China. The parameterization of urban water balance schemes important to latent heat flux and land-atmosphere interaction studies. Now, various kinds hydrological are developed simulate the cycle; but some key physical processes about still need be addressed. In this paper, coupled with Integrated land Model (IUM) improve modelling framework. inundation depths on natural, road roof surfaces used as prognostic variables equations. results indicate values associated duration time inundation. After parameter calibration based observed in sites, IUM can well compared those observations. Based mechanism study, several mitigation strategies were put forward sensitivity analyses implemented. these reduce depth shorten time.

متن کاملModelling the urban water cycle
Current urban water management practices aim to remove stormwater and wastewater efficiently from urban areas. An alternative approach is to consider stormwater and wastewater as a potential resource substitute for a portion of the water imported via the reticulated supply system. A holistic view of urban water resources provides the framework for the evaluation of the demand for water supply, ...
متن کاملWater Balance Modelling Over Variable Time Scales
Partitioning of rainfall into evapotranspiration and runoff is controlled by climate and catchment characteristics. The degree of control exerted by these factors varies with the spatial and temporal scales of processes being modelled. Understanding individual hydrological processes and their relationships with climatic and catchment characteristics is an important step in predicting catchment ...

UVQ: a tool for assessing the water and contaminant balance impacts of urban development scenarios.
This paper presents the water and contaminant daily simulation model of the total water cycle, called UVQ. The model has been developed to provide a means for rapidly assessing conventional and nonconventional approaches to providing water supply, stormwater and wastewater services to urban allotments, neighbourhoods and study areas. The model is placed the context of other such models develope...
